Marcelo Bielsa has revealed his role in the improvements at Elland Road and Thorp Arch
Leeds United manager Marcelo Bielsa has revealed his role in the improvements at Elland Road and Thorp Arch in an interview with Sky Sports.
The Argentine was asked about the intended expansion of the Whites’ home ground as well as the new pitch at Thorp Arch, and Bielsa revealed that he made his suggestions on both.
However, he insisted that a group did the bulk of the work at Leeds and that there is “no way” he could have planned the development on his own.
He said: “In Leeds, there’s a department that controls such construction works that are very effective, serious and committed.
“There is no way that a coach can improve such an area of expertise involving something like the construction of a new training pitch.
“Everything that is planned and designed are in relation to what clubs hope to achieve in future, and such discussions happened many months ago. But clearly, I offered my points of view.”
Bielsa played an important role.
The article mentioned earlier that Bielsa played an important role in the new pitch at the training ground.
However, he seems to downplay that role in this interview. Despite this, though, he indicates that he offered his views on improving infrastructure at both the training ground and Elland Road.
If it wasn’t already known, this shows that Bielsa has a role in everything at Leeds.
It is fascinating to hear from the man himself on many matters, and we recommend all Leeds fans to take some time out of their day to read this interview.
However, to us, the fascinating bit is definitely hearing Bielsa speak about the developments at the club and with him at the helm, the Whites should be set for an exciting future.
In other Leeds United news, the Whites have been dealt another injury blow.
