Marcelo Bielsa confirms Leeds United team news v Leicester City
Marcelo Bielsa has confirmed that Patrick Bamford, Luke Ayling and Robin Koch are unavailable for Leeds United versus Leicester at Elland Road on Sunday.
Speaking to the media on Friday morning, Bielsa shared a team news update that not many fans will want to hear, especially as Bamford’s spell on the sidelines continues.
The Athletic journalist Phil Hay relayed Bielsa’s update from the press conference via his personal Twitter account, adding that it “sounds like everyone else is ready”.
Get the ball rolling
After winning at Norwich on Sunday, it’s time for Leeds to get the ball rolling and start to fire themselves up the Premier League table.
Leicester may be a daunting team to face but Brendan Rodgers’ men haven’t been at the races this season and it could be a really good time to play against them – especially at Elland Road.

The Foxes lost to Arsenal after a disappointing performance last week and had to play in the Europa League on Thursday so Bielsa’s side should be fresher and also on a bit more of a high after the win at Carrow Road.
Leicester have the potential to cause problems for most Premier League clubs though so we still have to treat them with respect – but we can really see Leeds getting a result this weekend.
With injury issues starting to allay, it would be amazing to go into the international break with a spring in our step and come out of it ready to go big over the festive period.
In other Leeds United news, this Elland Road ace may not be in the long-term plans at the club.
