Marcelo Bielsa: Leeds United player Adam Forshaw is still injured

Marcelo Bielsa has confirmed Leeds United player Adam Forshaw is still injured but could be back next week.

The 29-year-old didn’t play for the Whites from September 2018 until he finally made his first-team return against Crewe in the Carabao Cup in August.

However, since then, Forshaw hasn’t played for the first team, and it appears as if he has picked up another slight injury that will keep him out of the Newcastle United game [Leeds Live].

He said: “Forshaw is finishing the recovery of his injury.

“For next week, he will be available.”

Forshaw to finally contribute to the first team?

The former Brentford midfielder has had an absolute nightmare with injuries, and we just hope that he is over the worst of everything.

This latest setback is frustrating, but it clearly is something that isn’t too bad, and it will be good to see Forshaw back in and around the first team next week.

The Whites play against Fulham in the Carabao Cup next week, so it would be good to see the 29-year-old feature in that game and then gradually be introduced into the Premier League.

Bielsa rates the former Middlesbrough man highly and believes that Forshaw can play a key role for the Whites this season [Leeds Live].

However, you would think that will all depend on the midfielder staying fit, which we hope he manages because he deserves to have a bit of luck after the hell he has been through.

In other Leeds United news, the Whites have asked the FA to investigate Jurgen Klopp.
