Marathe flies in for Farke sack talks as Leeds compensation details emerge
Paraag Marathe is flying in from the United States to hold talks over sacking Daniel Farke as the Leeds United manager.
Farke lived up to his reputation as a promotion specialist after sealing Leeds’ ticket back to the Premier League last Monday, 21 April.
However, there have since been doubts about the German tactician’s future at Elland Road amid concerns over his credibility as a Premier League-level manager.
Marathe previously claimed that he would back Farke if he earns promotion, but there appears to be a change of heart ahead of next season.

49ers Enterprises members express Farke concerns
Members of the 49ers Enterprises have privately expressed concerns over Farke ahead of Leeds’ return to the Premier League, according to The Guardian.
This is because the former Norwich boss faced relegation with the Canaries in the 2019-20 season immediately after earning promotion, and was sacked early in the 2021-22 season after leading them back to the Premier League.
The newspaper reported via their website on Monday (28 April) that Marathe is therefore travelling to the UK to hold talks with the manager himself.

Marathe will be in attendance for the Whites’ Championship clash with Bristol City at Elland Road on Monday after flying in from San Francisco.
The Leeds chairman will then hold discussions with Farke over his future later this week.
Marathe will have the final say on Farke and is prepared to listen to the manager’s plans to approach the Premier League season.
It is worth noting that Farke is contracted to the West Yorkshire outfit until 2027, meaning the Peacocks would have to pay him one year’s salary as compensation if they were to sack him.

Leeds to sack Farke
It appears increasingly likely that Leeds will pull the plug on Farke ahead of next season, with the 49ers having lofty ambitions for the Premier League.
It would be extremely harsh on the German to sack him immediately after he led the Whites back to the top flight.
However, it is also true that there are doubts about the former Borussia Monchengladbach manager’s credentials as a Premier League boss.
It is perhaps better to part ways with Farke now instead of having to sack him a few months into the season.
