Leeds United loanee Ben White is poised to sign an extension on his loan deal at Elland Road, according to journalist John Percy.
The Telegraph reporter claimed that the Brighton loanee is set to remain in West Yorkshire until the end of July, something that would cover the play-off dates should Leeds somehow have to go through that again.
It is suggested that talks are set to place during this week, something which is set to give Leeds a massive boost with nine games to play.
The EFL confirmed that the Championship is set to return in less than three weeks, meaning White should be raring to go to get the Whites over the line.
Whites’ initial loan ran out on Monday, and it is uncertain whether or not he has remained with the club and training at Thorp Arch on the same day.
The 22-year-old has been phenomenal this season and has even been tipped as a future England international on many occasions from different players and pundits.
Leeds will be wanting to turn this loan extension into a permanent move at the end of the season, with Andrea Radrizzani confirming that he will be lodging an offer once the transfer window opens.
Many fans immediately reacted to the update, with the majority of Leeds fans delighted that White will be sticking around for another month.
One suggested that it was a massive bump in the road avoided with the potential of Brighton keeping hold of their star youngster.
Every other fan couldn’t hide their excitement, with some suggested that it could yet be extended into a permanent move past this temporary switch.
