Manor Solomon recall: Tottenham decision mooted after what Leeds United ace did

Tim Sherwood believes Tottenham should look at recalling Manor Solomon from his loan spell at Leeds United after scoring against Cardiff in a 7-0 thrashing.

While Leeds are yet to conclude any incoming business this window, retaining their key players has been just as important and, so far, they have managed to do just that.

Solomon has been an integral component for the Whites but Sherwood believes that Tottenham could have opted to recall him amid an injury crisis.

Speaking live on Sky Sports News (3 February, 1:37pm), Sherwood said: “I certainly would [look at recalling players], I think that’s an option.

“They’ve got Solomon who’s out at Leeds, he scored at the weekend, he’s a player they could have brought back in but forward areas they’ve had the cover.”

Manor Solomon is key for Leeds United

While his early season performances at Elland Road perhaps failed to impress, since then the forward has excelled in the Championship and quickly established himself as one of the most important players under Daniel Farke.

As things stand, the Whites occupy the summit of the Championship and Solomon can take solace from the fact he has been crucial to that achievement.

His ability on the ball as well as his contributions in the final third has quickly seen him become one of the biggest goal threats in the division and it would be a huge, huge loss if Spurs were to recall him and would see Leeds’ promotion hopes take a massive hit.

At the moment, it appears Ange Postecogolou has no intention of recalling him and the Whites can take optimism from that as they look to end the season with the success of a promotion.

In other Leeds United news, the Whites have readied a fresh transfer move for this Premier League forward.
