Manchester United work ‘intensively’ to sign Robin Koch as Leeds United exit talks held
Manchester United are “working intensively” to sign Leeds United defender Robin Koch, according to German news outlet, Kicker.
Sky Germany’s Florian Plettenberg (14 June) has claimed “loose” talks had taken place between the Whites and Erik ten Hag’s side.
Now, according to Kicker (21 June), the Red Devils have upped their pursuit of the 26-year-old German defender. It’s believed Bayer Leverkusen are also interested in Koch as a potential replacement for Jonathan Tah, who has a release clause of £15.5million.

Koch is viewed as an “attractive” player for the Bundesliga side due to his duel strength.
Inevitable
This does feel like an inevitable exit.
Koch has been a decent addition but cannot be excused from the blame game when it comes to Leeds’ relegation to the second tier.
If the board can generate a decent fee for the 26-year-old then moving him on and cashing in makes a lot of sense for everyone involved. Manchester United are looking for a low-cost addition and Koch would provide that.
Just because the 49ers are now in control doesn’t mean an endless flow of cash is available. Leeds will have to wheel and deal to some extent.

Elsewhere, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see Tyler Adams, Brenden Aaronson, Marc Roca and possibly Georginio Rutter move on before the transfer window slams shut.
Adams has already been linked with the likes of Newcastle and Nottingham Forest and Roca is reportedly close to sealing a loan move back to his native Spain.
As for Rutter, the less said about his club-record arrival in January – the better.
In other Leeds United news, The Whites are working to sign a Yorkshire-based player to replace a £40m star at Elland Road.
