Manchester City talent Kaden Braithwaite hints at Finlay Gorman transfer after Leeds United exit announced

Manchester City teen Kaden Braithwaite has hinted Finley Gorman is on his way to the Etihad after he said goodbye to Leeds United on Instagram.

The 15-year-old is one of the most exciting prospects to come out of the Whites’ academy, scoring twice and assisting another in five appearances at Under 18s level.

However, having announced his exit from Elland Road via Instagram on Wednesday, Braithwaite has furthered previous links from Fabrizio Romano between Gorman and a move to Man City, suggesting that the rumours are true.

The 15-year-old commented on Gorman’s post (28 December), sarcastically asking: “Wonder where you’re going?”

A potential offer too good to turn down

If the current Premier League champions are to be looking into acquiring the young star’s services, it is difficult to turn that offer down, especially with Man City’s history of developing young players.

Phil Foden is a prime example of how important the City academy can be to a footballer’s future, having made 245 appearances at the senior level at the age of 22.

The generational talent is also an England international, boasting 31 caps so far. Foden’s future is so incredibly bright that it is sometimes blinding.

The list goes so much further than Foden, though. Rico Lewis has emerged as the next bright star, with Oscar Bobb and Micah Hamilton beginning to filter through to the first team.

Taylor Harwood-Bellis, Tosin Adarabioyo, Gavin Bazunu and Cole Palmer, to name just a few, are all performing at top levels, having come through the Man City academy and developed by Pep Guardiola in his time at the club.

Gorman could be next in a long line of academy products that continue to take over the footballing world. Only time will tell what Braithwaite’s comment could possibly mean.
