Manchester City fixtures including Leeds United away are ‘mindblowing’ – Paul Merson
Paul Merson has namedropped Leeds United as he was blown away by the upcoming fixtures of Manchester City.
The Sky Sports pundit admitted it was “mindblowing”, insisting that it was an easy run of fixtures including Brighton, Watford and Newcastle.
Leeds will be looking to get revenge for that 7-0 humiliation earlier in the season, with Jesse Marsch now in charge.
Writing in his latest column for The Mirror, Merson picked out all of City’s fixtures in what he believes makes them favourites for the title.
“And if you look at their [Man City] fixtures, it’s mindblowing,” he wrote.
“After this they’ve got Brighton at home, Watford at home, Leeds away, Newcastle at home, West Ham away, Aston Villa at home and a rearranged game with Wolves to come.”

We hope Pep Guardiola and his men turn up at Elland Road with the same mindset that Merson clearly has.
If they do, they will find a side fighting for their lives as they look to secure Premier League safety as early as possible.
Should we beat Watford this evening, and then Crystal Palace after, it would be highly likely that we have secured our top-flight status.
That gives us freedom, something we haven’t had all season which also leads to less pressure – something City could have loads of on their shoulders.
With the potential of having nothing to play for, beating City and playing a big hand in the Premier League title race would be huge.
