Man City in for tough Leeds United battle after horrible Elland Road reveal
Manchester City surely won’t enjoy coming to Elland Road to face Leeds United in the Premier League on Saturday.
The Cityzens will travel to LS11 on 28 February and won’t want to suffer a blow in the race for the Premier League title with Arsenal, who are five points clear at the top of the table after playing an extra game.
Former Whites forward Ross McCormack has warned Pep Guardiola to be ready for an intense atmosphere in West Yorkshire, with fans surely set to be in full spirits.
Daniel Farke’s prospects have turned around at the Peacocks since returning to what’s considered football basics: playing a 3-5-2 formation.

Leeds United ready for five-year first vs Manchester City
Leeds’ last win over Man City came on 10 April 2021 after a stoppage-time winner from Stuart Dallas, assisted by Ezgjan Alioski at the Etihad Stadium.
Since then, the Whites haven’t won any of their last five games against the Sky Blues in the Premier League over the span of five years.
The West Yorkshire outfit now have an opportunity to do something special at Elland Road in their fight for top-flight survival and boost Arsenal’s hopes of winning the title.
Guardiola’s team have been inconsistent with their displays this season, and it wouldn’t be surprising to see the Peacocks pull off an upset.
Speaking on talkSPORT on 27 February, McCormack said, “There are a lot of teams over the last few months that have gone to Elland Road and struggled. They’ll make it difficult for them. But Leeds’ upturn in fortunes has just come from them going back to basics.
“At half-time against Man City, they went to a 3-5-2. Two boys up front just put people under pressure. Man City won’t enjoy going to Elland Road. The atmosphere will be rocking, the fans will be horrible, the players will be in their face. So they better be up for a fight.”
Daniel Farke has no-brainer selection decision at Elland Road
Dominic Calvert-Lewin will surely start against Man City, but it’s the position next to him that fans will be eager about.
Brenden Aaronson has been Farke’s go-to in the starting lineup in recent weeks, with the USMNT star playing in multiple positions.

While the American midfielder has done well, it would make sense to start Lukas Nmecha up top with Calvert-Lewin at Elland Road, arguably giving the Whites more attacking impetus against the Cityzens.
The German forward has been in fine form, and if fit, should go straight into the team ahead of kick-off.
