Luke Williams makes ‘incredible’ Leeds United admission

Leeds United have been labelled “incredible” by Swansea boss Luke Williams ahead of Sunday’s Championship encounter.

The Whites have a chance to move to the top of the table with a win as the Swansea.com Stadium on 24 November thanks to Sunderland and Sheffield United both dropping points on Saturday.

Daniel Farke’s side have earned plaudits from several managers across the Championship with Williams the latest to praise them.

In quotes reported by the Yorkshire Evening Post, Williams said: “Leeds are an absolutely fabulous team to be quite honest at the level.

“If you don’t look at the images of the team on the screen and you just look at the statistics and the data, they are incredible, and then if you actually open your eyes and watch them you realise, they are incredible.”

Leeds United have chance to go top of the Championship

With Sunderland dropping two points in the dying minutes against Millwall and Sheffield United held to a 2-2 draw against Coventry, a win for Leeds would send them to the top of the Championship, albeit on goal difference.

While league position means little at this stage of the season, it will be a visible showcase of the progress the Whites have made this season and the high level of performances on show.

Farke has led his team to a solid campaign so far with many still brandishing the Whites as the favourites to win promotion and even the league title.

With that added pressure, however, Leeds have to be able to live up to the standards set by themselves and a win against Swansea should be more than achievable.

The Swans sit 10 points behind the Whites in 14th but have demonstrated their ability to disrupt opponents and cause an upset.

In other Leeds United news, the Whites have been linked with a move for a Swedish defender.
