Luis Sinisterra transfer development emerges amid ‘disastrous’ Leeds United campaign

Leeds United ace Luis Sinisterra is “already in the sights” of the top Premier League clubs, according to Calciomercato.

The 23-year-old winger only joined the Whites from Eredivisie outfit Feyenoord last summer.

But his time in West Yorkshire remains uncertain given the club’s potential relegation from the top flight.

“The Colombian made sparks in Feyenoord and is repeating them even in a disastrous Leeds: the attacking full-back is one of the few to save himself in the Whites’ season, a successful purchase for €25million and therefore already in the sights of the top English clubs,” according to Calciomercato.

Head held high

Sinisterra is one of the few Leeds players who can hold their heads high in this miserable campaign for the club, with the winger scoring five goals despite suffering from various injuries.

He has been limited to just 19 Premier League games, with Sinisterra currently sidelined in what is a huge miss for Sam Allardyce.

The manager could definitely do with the pace and trickery of the Colombian in these final stages, particularly given the very difficult fixtures that are on the horizon.

Currently in the relegation zone and two points from safety, the Whites will meet high-flying Newcastle on Saturday (13 May).

That fixture at Elland Road is followed by a tough trip to West Ham and another very tricky home test against Tottenham Hotspur.

These are the type of matches that can be won and lost by very fine margins, and unfortunately for Leeds, the injured Sinisterra could definitely have made a difference in the final third in this respect.

In other Leeds United news, one Newcastle player has been rated as doubtful for the clash with the Whites at Elland Road on Saturday.
