Luis Sinisterra ‘hold up’ sees Bournemouth lose confidence in last-gasp Leeds United signing

Bournemouth’s “confidence has waned” over the potential to sign Leeds United winger Luis Sinisterra, according to Jack Tanner.

The Bournemouth Echo journalist shared a late update on Twitter on deadline day (1 September) that despite the Cherries having been expecting to get the Whites winger through the doors they are no longer feeling so sure.

A “hold up” has emerged on the potential move and with time running out the prospect of getting the deal over the line appears to be diminishing.

The 24-year-old has gone to have a medical [Sky Sports] ahead of a potential move back to the Premier League, but amid ongoing talks with the Whites it is now looking touch and go after the deal hit late issues.

Hope?

Leeds United fans will be desperately hoping this one falls through just as Bournemouth fans will be wanting the exact opposite.

The Cherries have come out on top with Andoni Iraola, Max Aarons and Tyler Adams so far this summer when they have gone up against the Whites.

So it would be a small consolation if Daniel Farke was able to still call on Sinisterra once the window has shut for sure.

Everton made a late play to snatch Willy Gnonto from Elland Road but it appears the Italian teenager has been kept hold of already.

So now attentions will turn to Bournemouth and the Sinisterra deal for the next few hours as both sides wait to see where he will be playing this season.

If the signing from Feyenoord last summer remains in the Championship, at least until January, it will leave Leeds United with a formidable attack, and boost their chances of mounting an assault on promotion.

In other Leeds United news, the club prepared to meet the asking price of another established Championship performer in an attempt to beat a rival to a late signing.
