Luciano Becchio reveals gift sent by Andrea Radrizzani as Leeds United hero shares video clip
Andrea Radrizzani has been sending Leeds United shirts out again with ex-Elland Road ace Luciano Becchio receiving one from the Italian businessman.
Becchio, 38, is widely loved by Leeds fans after impressing in his spell at the West Yorkshire club between 2008 and 2013 when he couldn’t stop scoring goals.
Radrizzani’s clearly remains in contact the former Argentinean striker and has sent him a Leeds home shirt for this season.
Becchio tweeted a video of himself revealing the shirt, which included a card from Radrizzani saying: “Thank you for your support. Marching on together.”
Becchio wrote: “Thank you very much Leeds, Radrizzani for the amazing gift.”
Not this again
Is anyone else getting deja vu?
While we’ve got no issue with a former Leeds player being sent a shirt by the club’s chairman, there are some fans who aren’t happy to see former footballers getting freebies.
Our fans have followed Leeds over England and Europe in the last few decades and put up with a lot of hardships.
And if they’re annoyed to see Becchio getting a shirt sent to him by Radrizzani then they’re well within their right to.
This happened before.
In July 2021, Radrizzani caused a stir by sending Leeds shirts out to bloggers and celebrities while even former Hull player David Meyler also received one.
That went down like a lead balloon so why do it again?
Some fans have had a moan about it in response to Becchio’s tweet and we do understand why, in all honesty.
In other Leeds United news, Italian newspapers have reacted to Wilfried Gnonto’s performance in Italy’s win over England.
