Report: Leeds joined in race for player who's blown scouts away, Mills claims he’s worth £30m+
Liverpool and Everton are among the teams to join Leeds United in the battle to sign Reading starlet Michael Olise, according to TEAMtalk.
The Whites have been linked with a move for Olise for some time, back in October it was reported that Leeds were among the teams to table a £5million offer for the youngster.
The 18-year-old will not be short of suitors, TEAMtalk claims that Chelsea and Manchester City will also join the Merseyside duo and Leeds in pursuing the Reading ace, who has led many scouts to believe he “is the best prospect outside the Premier League”.
Across Europe, Borussia Dortmund, RB Leipzig, Monaco and Napoli are all said to be keeping a close eye on the player, according to the report.
The next star to graduate from the EFL
It’s easy to see why so many clubs are clamouring to sign the 18-year-old, who is out of contract in 2022.
Already valued at £4.05million by Transfermarkt, he is quickly becoming an important figure in Reading’s side.
He has been an ever-present figure for Reading this season. In his 16 league appearances, he has two goals and six assists, helping Reading to be within just a point of league-leaders Bournemouth.
It’s easy to see why Olise is one of the most talked-about young players in the second division currently. Former Reading defender Matt Mills told The Sun that he could be sold for big money in the near future: “For a player of that age and quality, you’ve got to say he’s worth £30m-£40m now.”
