Liverpool star reacts to what Joel Piroe did after Leeds heroics v Stoke
Joel Piroe emerges as the hero for Leeds United after scoring four goals in their 6-0 victory over Stoke on Easter Monday.
Leeds thrashed Stoke at Elland Road hours before Sheffield United’s defeat against Burnley confirmed their promotion to the Premier League on 21 April.
Piroe was all over the headlines after taking just 20 minutes to complete his hat-trick, which was the fastest treble in the Whites’ history.
Adding another goal to his name, the Dutchman had more reasons to celebrate, as he went atop the Championship goalscorers table for the season.

Liverpool star stunned by what Piroe did
While Sheffield United’s loss at Turf Moor kicked off celebrations at Elland Road, Piroe took to social media to express his delight at his four-goal haul against Stoke.
“A very special moment”, Piroe wrote on Instagram (21 April) along with a yellow heart emoji.
Minutes | Goals | Accurate Passes | Shot Accuracy | Touches | Successful Dribbles | Duels Won |
66′ | 4 | 8/11 (73%) | 4/4 (100%) | 18 | 1/1 (100%) | 2/5 (40%) |
Cody Gakpo was among those who reacted to the said post, with the Liverpool attacker posting a fire emoji in the comment section.
Sheffield Wednesday’s Jamal Lowe further tipped his hat to the 25-year-old, who also drew a reaction from Basketball star Larry Nance Jr.

Piroe silences critics at Elland Road
Piroe has played a key role in Leeds’ road to promotion, bagging 19 goals and six assists in 44 Championship appearances.
However, it is safe to say that the attacker has also had his fair share of critics, especially after he went nine games without scoring a goal before Monday.
Piroe, though, silenced his critics with his four-goal haul against Stoke.
The former Swansea ace will now be determined to lead the line for the Whites in the Premier League next season, although Daniel Farke might still strengthen his attack this summer.
It remains to be seen if Piroe can do enough to convince the German tactician that he is the right man to lead the West Yorkshire outfit’s attack in the top flight.
