Liverpool gem Lewis Koumas sends message after Leeds United contract news

Liverpool gem Lewis Koumas has reacted to the news of Leeds United signing Charlie Crew to a new four-year deal at Elland Road.

Crew took to Instagram on Friday (July 12) to share photos of him signing the contract with the caption “2028”, and Koumas was quick to reply saying “Ma boy” with a heart emoji in the comments.

Crew, who has been a star for the Whites’ youth sides, hasn’t played for the first team yet but is already part of the Wales national squad.

He helped Leeds reach the FA Youth Cup Final last season and is expected to get more chances this year.

Similarly, Koumas, who also plays for Wales, has been doing great at Liverpool.

He and Crew have both recently been called up to represent Wales with Koumas enjoying quite the rise of late, making his first-team debut for the Reds against Southampton in the FA Cup in February.

Leeds United have a gem on their hands with Charlie Crew

Leeds’ new deal with 18-year-old Crew is exciting news for the supporters. The young midfielder has already shown he has something special.

Last season, he was a standout player for the youth team, helping them reach the FA Youth Cup Final.

Even though he hasn’t played for the first team yet, he’s already part of Wales’ national squad set-up, which says a lot about his talent.

Crew’s Instagram post announcing his new contract also got a warm response from several young players including Koumas, showing the respect he’s earned among his peers.

On top of that, Daniel Farke seems to have big plans for him, and fans should be excited about what he can bring to the team.

With hard work and the right opportunities, Crew could become a key player for Leeds. It’s always exciting to see young talent rise, and Crew might just be the next big star for the Whites now that Archie Gray has gone.

In other Leeds United news, the Whites are set for an £800,000 transfer windfall.
