Liverpool ace reacts as Leeds United star Rodon shares bandaged-up image
Liverpool talent Lewis Koumas was blown away by Leeds star Joe Rodon’s performance for Wales against Iceland.
The Whites defender won his 50th cap for the Dragons and played the full 90 minutes in the 4-1 victory on Tuesday [19 November] with a bandage on his head after the clash with Turkiye three days earlier.
The Reds star who is on loan at Stoke, commented on Rodon’s Instagram post after the contest, saying: “What a player” with a clapping emoji at the end.
Leeds United will be glad to have Joe Rodon back in one piece
The Whites will be relieved that Rodon was able to play a full 90 minutes after suffering a head injury in the draw against Turkiye on 16 November.
The former Tottenham defender has been an ever-present in Daniel Farke’s side so far this season with the club sitting third in the Championship hoping to avoid a repeat of last season when they narrowly missed out on automatic promotion.
His performances for club and country suggest that he is ready to test himself again in the Premier League, whether that is at Leeds or not remains to be seen.

After impressing on loan last season, the club brought Rodon back permanently from Tottenham for a reported fee of £10 million.
He has certainly justified that fee so far with his performances and his manager will be relieved that he returned to Elland Road at full fitness.
The Whites return to Championship action on Sunday [24 November] with a trip to Rodon’s former club Swansea where he started his career.
