Live from Thorp Arch: Update on injured Leeds duo, Forshaw leaves training early

The Leeds United Under-23s were greeted with a much larger crowd than usual as they welcomed Hull to Thorp Arch on Sunday.

Eagerly eyed fans will have noticed the first team in action training whilst the young Whites eased into the lead in the Yorkshire derby.

Pablo Hernandez and Tyler Roberts have both been missing from the first-team recently through injury, but the duo were out training separate to the rest of the group.

Welsh international Roberts was out on the field for less time than his teammate and spent his half-an-hour just running, completing lap after lap of one of the training pitches.

Roberts then returned, leaving Hernandez out to train much longer.

The Spaniard was being put through more intense ball drills, completing attacking transitions as well as sprints.

That would suggest that the playmaker is closer to a return than Roberts is after Bielsa confirmed updates on the pair yesterday in a press conference.

Adam Forshaw was also at Thorp Arch, but was not spotted in training at all. The midfielder has been struggling with a hip problem for months, and left the facility early.

In other Leeds United news, the Whites are plotting a swoop to sign this £10,000-a-week Premier League midfielder.
