Liam Rosenior heaps praise on Leeds United with Daniel Farke 'a really good choice'
Liam Rosenior has heaped praise on Leeds United and the 49ers Enterprises’ decision to appoint Daniel Farke as manager, describing the German as “a really good choice.”
Farke took over at Elland Road over the summer and was the calm head at the centre of a transfer window of chaos that saw the former Norwich boss deal with players’ refusal to play, late loan switches and plenty of new arrivals.
Ahead of the Whites’ clash with Hull City on Wednesday (20 September), Tigers manager Rosenior was keen to show his respect to both Farke and his Leeds team, after their impressive 3-0 win over Millwall following the international break.
Speaking on BBC Radio Humberside (18 September) he said: “He is fantastic. I remember covering his time at Norwich, they played really, really good football. Outstanding coach. They have made a really good choice with him. They are organised and they know how they want to play under him.
“I went to watch them yesterday [against Millwall]. They are a very good team with a lot of attacking threats on the pitch, which you expect. Leeds are a big club, we are a big club. Geographically there are bragging rights, I played in a few games against Leeds as a player here and they are different.”

If there’s one thing that cannot be doubted this season it is just how seriously every other team in the Championship is taking Leeds United, as Rosenior is just the latest in a long line of managers and players to sing the praises of Farke and his side.
Because of that level of expectation on the Whites there is more pressure and the true test of this Leeds team is just how they deal with having a target on their back every week as teams will be viewing matches against them as a potential scalp.
Rosenior understands the occasion of Hull taking in on their Yorkshire neighbours and while it isn’t the biggest rivalry in the world, he will have his side up and ready for the occasion to establish their dominance over one of the division’s biggest sides.
For Farke, his attacking threats that have been identified have been challenged to find consistency in their performances and having been so impressive at The Den on Sunday, the match against the Tigers is the perfect chance to begin a run of good form.
Hopefully, Rosenior’s praise is not unwarranted and the Leeds boss can set up his side to make it back-to-back away wins.
In other Leeds United news, Farke reluctantly singled out Joe Rodon for his warrior mentality against Millwall
