Lewis Bate’s Instagram activity hints that he wants to join Leeds United

Chelsea midfielder Lewis Bate has begun following a whole host of Leeds United players on his Instagram after he was linked with a move to Elland Road.

The Athletic claim that the Whites have made an offer for Bate, and judging by the activity on his own personal Instagram account, he is keen on the move.

Yorkshire Evening Post journalist Graham Smyth even stated on his Twitter account that this could be a “come and get me plea” from the 18-year-old. Certainly, it seems like a strange thing to do if he wasn’t that interested in a move to the Whites. Therefore, this could be something to keep an eye on as the window progresses.

Does Bate want to join Leeds?

In today’s world, Instagram activity like this usually indicates that the player in question is keen to join the club.

It doesn’t mean that he is close to joining the club, but it clearly indicates that Bate sees a future for himself at Elland Road.

However, according to a report in the Yorkshire Evening Post, the Whites will “face fierce competition” to sign the young Chelsea man, but they have watched him for a long time.

So he is clearly a player that the Whites know about and are keen to bring him to Elland Road. The player also seems keen as well, so it now could be just a case of Chelsea allowing Bate to leave the club.

Leeds have made an offer, but it is unclear how much they have bid or if that will be enough for the Blues to part ways with Bate.

Hopefully, it is because the player clearly wants to complete this move to Elland Road, judging by his Instagram activity.

In other Leeds United news, the club have made an offer for an English central midfielder.
