Leroy Rosenior: Raphinha has been ‘brilliant’ under Bielsa
Leroy Rosenior has been in awe of Raphinha’s performances for Leeds United.
Since moving to Elland Road last summer, the Brazilian attacker has hit the ground running for Marcelo Bielsa’s side.
Even this season, he has been one of the shining stars for the Whites and has been praised by Rosenior, who is a Sky Sports pundit.
Speaking on Premier League Fanzone, he said, “Raphinha has been brilliant. Absolutely fantastic for them under Bielsa.”
Hard to argue there
When Raphinha signed, many thought that he was a flair player and would find it hard to cope with life in the Premier League.
It was a fair assessment, as players similar to him have come to England have struggled.
Add to that, playing for a manager like Bielsa wasn’t going to be easy either, but he took up the challenge and it’s fair to say, that he has succeeded.
He is now one of the Argentine’s first names on the team sheet and looks at home playing on the right flank.
Regardless of the opposition, he rarely seems fazed by anything and continues to put in terrific performances week in and week out.
Leeds are absolutely lucky to have a player of his calibre in the side and hopefully, they can fight off interest from some of the top European clubs as he’s certainly going to have a lot of suitors in the summer.
