Leicester City could yet make a last-ditch attempt to sign Leeds United winger Jack Harrison on the deadline day, according to Daily Mail journalist Simon Jones.
Writing on the transfer deadline day blog for The Daily Mail (31 January, 5.19 pm), Jones reported that Leicester’s pursuit of Harrison is “not dead yet”.
Leeds have rejected a £20m bid from Leicester for Harrison, and unless they come up with a massive offer, it looks unlikely that the Whites will offload him.

“Leicester for Leeds United’s Jack Harrison is not dead yet,” wrote Jones.
“Leicester had been one of the 11 clubs keen on Manchester United’s Anthony Elanga
“Sportsmail broke news of Leicester’s interest in Harrison last week (Jan 24) and they subsequently had a £20m bid rejected.
“They are willing to offer a new deal to the 26-year-old but he may consider leaving in the summer with more options available.”
Strange
The 26-year-old is a fantastic winger for the Whites, and he is being admired by a host of Premier League clubs, including Newcastle.
Harrison has scored one goal and provided four assists for the club in the Premier League this season.
Jesse Marsch has found a brilliant way to get the best out of Harrison, and his performance has improved as a result.
Earlier, Harrison used to hug the touchline, and his moves were very predictable. He is a great team player and puts in a lot of defensive shifts.

However, he offered very little in terms of output. For a player of his caliber, he should aim to improve his numbers, in terms of goals and assists.
Marsch has given him more freedom to drift in the middle, a role Lionel Messi executed superbly for Argentina in the World Cup.
Leeds will want him to sign a new contract, but Harrison will know that he has got admirers elsewhere and can seal a better offer.
The Whites probably won’t mind as well as long they get a high transfer fee for him.
