Leeds United winger Jack Harrison made top summer target by Newcastle
Newcastle United have made Leeds United winger Jack Harrison their main summer transfer target according to The Sheilds Gazette.
Football Insider have reported that the Magpies sent an opening bid to Elland Road of just £18million for the English attacker.
The 25-year-old has since failed to confirm whether he would remain a Leeds United player when asked about his future.
As quoted by the Yorkshire Evening Post, when questioned about his future, Harrison said: “We’ll see what happens.”
It has now been suggested by The Sheilds Gazette on Thursday 21 July, that the winger is a top summer target for Eddie Howe’s side.

These are not good signs for the Yorkshire side’s hopes of keeping the influential winger at the club beyond the summer transfer window.
The 25-year-old enjoyed a profitable 2021/22 season scoring eight times and assisting once for Jesse Marsch’s men.
It now appears that has attracted the attention of mega-rich Newcastle United, and the Magpies’ advances may be too much for the Elland Road hierarchy to turn down.
Harrison’s refusal to deny the interest is also worrying with the winger potentially swayed by a move to the North East side.
Leeds will be desperate to keep hold of Harrison. However, if he does leave Elland Road during the window, it is crucial that the club hierarchy give Marsch the funds and the time to replace the winger.
It won’t be a great look for Leeds if they do sell one of their prized assets to a Premier League rival this summer.
Newcastle will always be hard to compete with in the transfer market but the club must try their best to keep hold of one of their best attacking players.
In other Leeds United news, the Whites are ready to sign off on this major new signing but it’s dependent upon one factor.
