Leeds United willing to pay £17m to sign Everton-owned striker Moise Kean

Leeds United are reportedly willing to offer £17million to sign Everton striker Moise Kean with Newcastle also in the race.

According to Calciomercato, the Whites are keen to sign a striker this summer and have identified the Italy international as a target.

Juventus, who are supposed to buy the 22-year-old from Everton, are still haggling over the price, may be willing to green light the move amid interest from the Premier League.

Complicated scenario

Kean has played 32 games in the Premier League but has since spent time on loan in Italy at Juventus and in France as well with PSG.

While these are two elite sides, he has failed to make a mark there and his performances have been average, to say the least.

He would not really be the signing most Leeds fans would expect, he can actually go on and put in a shift at Elland Road.

He’s Premier League proven and will not take too much time to adapt to life under Jesse Marsch as he is known to be a hard worker both on and off the ball.

With there being no other strikers that seem close to joining Leeds, a move for the Italy international may not be the worst idea in the world.

Hopefully, they fend off interest from Newcastle who could offer higher wages and a bigger transfer fee to Everton in case they do not accept this.

In other Leeds United news, the Whites now have a clear run to sign a £20m-rated left-back as their Premier League rivals have now bowed out of the race.
