Leeds United will seal transfer masterstroke if Jack Harrison is sold for £30m

Victor Orta will forever be regarded as a transfer genius if Leeds United can sell Jack Harrison for a huge profit this summer.

According to The Telegraph on 7 June, Harrison has caught the eye of Newcastle United boss Eddie Howe.

Leeds are hoping to resist offers for the winger, and the Magpies may need to pay as much as £20-30 million to secure his signature.

Harrison joined the Whites permanently on loan from Manchester City in an £11m deal on 2 July, 2021, as reported by BBC Sport.

If the Whites can sell him at around £30m, they will earn a huge profit of around £19m for the player. If such a situation arises, the club must do it, which will be nothing short of a transfer masterstroke.

Harrison improved under Jesse Marsch last season, but unlike Raphinha, he is not a game-changer.

The 25-year-old is a versatile winger who can play across all positions upfront. He is a proper team player who works extremely hard.

Harrison drops deep to help the full-backs, and he is a utility player as well. But there are limitations in his game that has been exposed time and again.

Last season, he scored 10 goals in all competitions, of which three of them have come in one game against West Ham (16 January).

He again looked impressive towards the end of the campaign, but overall, the winger gives the impression that he is only good in patches.

Leeds must try to keep hold of him, definitely, but if the Magpies are ready to pay around £30m, the club must sell him.

In other Leeds United news, the Whites are ready to hijack an £8.5million transfer to sign a new forward from South America.
