Leeds United will likely be sold to the San Francisco 49ers and Peter Lowy
Leeds United are likely to be sold directly to the San Francisco 49ers Enterprises when Andrea Radrizzani decides to sell up.
Phil Hay believes that the Italian is likely to pass ownership of the Whites on to the NFL side, who already own 37% of the club.
He claims that the 49ers would likely become the majority shareholders and have not lost any interest in the club, and aren’t planning to go anywhere any time soon with Peter Lowy heavily involved too.

He said: “The expectation if a sale happens is that control would pass to 49ers Enterprises, with Peter Lowy very much involved too.
“Lowy (who joined the Leeds board in June) was in the directors’ box for the West Ham game and is very much involved, particularly on the stadium redevelopment side.
“The 49ers have been on the scene for three years now and are not losing interest in any way. It wouldn’t be a surprise if we see more investment before long.”
Good news for Leeds.
Given that the NFL side are worth over four billion dollars, this is good news for the Whites and suggests that the future will be very bright [Biz Journals].
Radrizzani deserves immense credit for what he has achieved with the Whites, and crucially, he seems to have set up the club’s next owners as well.
Hopefully, this will ensure that Leeds can continue to grow as a club and make progress both on and off the pitch.

It is unclear how much longer Radrizzani intends to stay with the Whites, but it is clear that he has always wanted the best for Leeds as a club and a city.
This intended succession passing the club onto the 49ers should ensure that the club is in good hands even when the Italian is long gone.
Ultimately, it would be a huge shame if Radrizzani sold the club to a poor owner, but if Hay is correct, then that looks unlikely to happen.
