Leeds United watched Aberdeen's Calvin Ramsey against Rangers last night

Leeds United had scouts at Pittodrie last night to watch Calvin Ramsey during Aberdeen clash against Rangers, according to The Mirror.

The right-back, 18, put in an impressive shift as the Dons held the Premiership defending champions to a 1-1 draw, with representatives from Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur, Leicester City and Southampton also in town to run the rule over him.

Mirror reported on their transfer blog on Tuesday (9:17 pm, 18 January) that the Elland Road outfit had some of their chiefs keeping eyes on the Aberdeen wonderkid, but it remains to be seen whether a transfer move is on the cards.

Solid defender

Ramsey has four assists in 13 league appearances so far in 2021-22 and he would have likely impressed the Leeds scouts last night.

WhoScored awarded him the man of the match award despite spending 74 minutes on the pitch, and the Scottish sensation surely has a lot of potential and talents to have attracted scouts from the English top-flight.

The west Yorkshire outfit boast of some of the best youngsters in the land in their under-23s squad, and they could be keen to add Ramsey.

The Aberdeen academy graduate is getting regular taste of first-team football after spending last term with the youth side, though, and he would want to move to a place where his development can continue.

With their various injuries this term, Leeds surely could do with another right-back, but a January move for Ramsey may not be on the cards.

One scouting mission is surely not enough for them to make up their mind, and they will likely keep checking on him going forward before making a decision.

In other Leeds United news, the Whites want to sign int’l striker on loan with move already made.
