Leeds United want to sign US international Djordje Mihailovic
Leeds United are among several clubs who are in the race to sign United States international Djordje Mihailovic, according to Jeunes Footeux.
The 23-year-old midfielder currently plays for MLS franchise CF Montreal a recorded an impressive four goals and 14 assists for the Canadian side last season.
Newcastle and Everton offer competition from the Premier League while clubs in Germany, Italy and France are also keeping tabs on Mihailovic.

Jeunes Footeux report that a fee for the American would be around £6.6million which would barely dent the Whites’ budgets.
He is under contract at CF Montreal until December 2023 but with Jesse Marsch, fellow American, the new manager at Elland Road, he could be persuaded to make the move.
Aaronson alternative
If Marsch could choose any American midfielder to join him in Yorkshire, Mihailovic probably isn’t at the top of his list.
RB Salzburg ace Brendon Aaronson has long been linked with a move to the Whites and the club have supposedly been chasing him for years [Phil Hay].

He would almost certainly be Marsch’s preferred choice given his younger age and wealth of experience on the big stage in the Champions League with the Austrian champions.
He put in a masterful display against Bayern Munich in the first leg of their round of 16 tie which helped Salzburg to a 1-1 draw against the 2020 winners of the competition.
But the suitors for Aaronson are immense and Leeds United face a major battle to win the race so Mihailovic could be the perfect alternative.
He is very similar to Aaronson in his playstyle but he’d be much cheaper which is all-important when sniffing out bargains in the transfer market.
In other Leeds United news, reports suggest that the club could be forced to sell two of its star players despite Marsch’s arrival yesterday.
