Leeds United want to sign Santos attacker Renyer, claims agent

Leeds United are reportedly keen on signing Santos attacker Renyer according to the Brazilian striker’s agent Emerson Zulu.

According to Record journalist Fabiano Abreu Agrela, Zulu told him that the Whites, along with Benfica, are the clubs looking to sign the 18-year-old.

Renyer, while he still may be considered a young player, has already featured for the Santos senior team on seven occasions.

Youthful addition

While it seems like Benfica are closer to signing him than Leeds, the battle is far from over and they shouldn’t give up the chase.

Renyer is a left-footed and physical striker who would be a terrific addition to the Whites side.

While he is expected to feature for the under-23s first before becoming a first-team player, all indications are towards him being a quality addition.

According to Football Talent Scout, the teenage sensation likes to dribble and is ‘Extremely-skilled’ – someone who can play anywhere along the front three.

He’s also got the knack of finding the back of the net and his shooting ability has been highlighted as one of his strengths.

The fact that he’s not established yet will mean that he will not arrive in too much fanfare or pressure and can ease his way into the Leeds side.

However, it remains to be seen if Victor Orta manages to get this one over the line ahead of Benfica.

In Leeds United news, an under-the-radar court case involving the transfer of a Leeds player has reached its conclusion with the final payout revealed.
