Leeds United now want to sign FC Austin striker Sebastián Driussi after his remarkable last season where he scored 25 goals, according to TyC Sports.

The online outlet has reported on its website that River Plate feel further and further away from signing the attacker as the Whites and German clubs start to circle.

River may have accepted defeat to Premier League side Leeds, despite the report bizarrely suggesting they only became relevant because of Marcelo Bielsa.

Victor Orta will be keeping his options open at Elland Road going into the January transfer window, with the possibility of numerous arrivals possible.

The fans have been demanding a new left-back and another striker for years now, so it is no surprise to see those two areas consistently cropping up in conversation.

It is clear to anyone that they are the biggest problems in this squad.

MLS 3.0.

We have seen this numerous times now.

Whether it’s because Jesse Marsch is in charge, Brenden Aaronson and Tyler Adams are shining or the impending takeover of the 49ers, the links to America are too easy.

Kai Wagner and Taty Castellanos have both been strongly linked with moves to Elland Road over the past year, but nothing has materialised from that despite all of the talk.

Of course, they have performed well but it is just too easy to link Leeds with any kind of move for these players now, despite the power they have at their disposal.

We haven’t seen a direct transfer from the MLS yet, but this could possibly happen, it is impossible to rule out.

No disrespect to that league and to Driussi, but Leeds need a much bigger name than that with a starting number nine needed at Elland Road to come in and make that spot his own.

Patrick Bamford has been smashed by injuries and looks incapable of putting together a full season, and Rodrigo still fails to win everyone over despite his seven goals so far.

All eyes are on January.
