Leeds United want to sign Milos Kerkez amid £8m AZ Alkmaar transfer development
Leeds United are among the clubs in the hunt to sign AZ Alkmaar full-back Milos Kerkez, according to Mirror journalist Tom Hopkinson.
Writing in print edition of the newspaper on Sunday (21 May, page 78), it was reported that the 19-year-old has a host of Premier League admirers, with Brighton, Bournemouth and Wolves interested in his signature, while Portuguese giants Benfica are thought to be interested too.
What is even more tempting for Leeds, who are battling to retain their Premier League status, is the news that Kerkez’s father believes a move to England would be best for his son, who is valued at around £8million.

Having represented Hungary four times already, the battle to sign Kerkez will be an intriguing one and Leeds will likely need to retain their top-flight status to earn his signature.
Sam Allardyce’s side face West Ham at London Stadium on Sunday, knowing a win will see them jump out of the relegation zone at the expense of Everton.
Defensive reinforcement makes sense for Leeds
It has been a season of consistent struggle for Leeds United, who are on their third boss of the season in Sam Allardyce.
There is little wonder Allardyce came onto their radar given the defensive struggles the Whites have endured during the 2022-23 campaign.

No team in the Premier League has conceded more than the 71 leaky Leeds have shipped this term and left-back has been a particularly troublesome area.
Junior Firpo has struggled for form, while Pascal Struijk is more at home at centre-back too.
The arrival of Max Wober in January did offer stability there, albeit he has missed time due to injury, but the 25-year-old is probably going to be a better longer-term fixture in central defence.
In Kerkez, Leeds would be signing a young, hungry (no pun intended), and talented full-back…but first things first, they need to pull themselves out of the mire and ensure they have Premier League football to offer.
