Leeds want to sign Josip Brekalo, Bild reveals price tag
Leeds United want to sign Wolfsburg winger Josip Brekalo in the summer transfer window, according to Bild.
The Whites have been linked with the Croatian star who has been compared to Dutch legend Arjen Robben in the past.
The German outlet have shared that the Bundesliga side would accept no lower than £12.8million with Leeds and Everton circling.
There is a clear need for another winger at Elland Road ahead of next season.
Jack Harrison is also set to make his move permanent after three loan spells, and we all know what Raphinha can do after his first amazing year.
Ian Poveda and Helder Costa have to do more.
Both have been used as impact substitutes mainly, with Marcelo Bielsa switching between the two without having much success.
Why Brekalo?
The Croatian international has been impressing massively in the Bundesliga.
Brekalo has scored 11 goals and has added five assists in all competitions, including an impressive hat-trick against Union Berlin towards the end of the season.
For only £12.8million, the Whites would be bringing in a player who has been linked with Bayern Munich in the past for his impressive Bundesliga displays.
Victor Orta admitted that he wants to conclude his transfer business ahead of the upcoming pre-season at the start of July.
Brekalo would need to get up to speed quickly and improve his fitness levels to perform to the demands of Bielsa, who could improve the young Croatian star even further.
This is certainly one to watch, it could be a bargain.
