Leeds United want to sign Edouard Michu from Paris Saint-Germain – Fabrizio Romano

Leeds United want to sign Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Edouard Michut, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The Italian journalist has shared that the Whites are among a number of clubs looking to sign the young Frenchman, who spent last season at Sunderland on loan.

Any deal is said to be dependent on the terms set by Paris Saint-Germain, something that will happen in the coming days in the French capital.

He wrote: “Leeds United are among several clubs interested in Edouard Michut from Paris Saint-Germain.

“Deal will depend on conditions decided by PSG in the coming days.”

Wow.

Daniel Farke and the 49ers Enterprises are clearly not messing around after the takeover was finally made official and confirmed at the start of the week.

With Ethan Ampadu confirmed this morning and links to Michut arriving now, it is clear that midfield is an area that the German wants significantly improving ahead of the new season.

Marc Roca has already moved away to Real Betis, and with Adam Forshaw potentially moving to Saudi Arabia, that would leave only Tyler Adams in a senior role, if he was to stay.

So, with Ampadu and potentially Michut now coming in, it looks as though that could be a double pivot we need to get used to, something we like the sound of.

The young midfield gem played 24 times in the Championship last season, and despite somewhat struggling, that experience will be critical and could help him flourish if he was to come again, this time to Elland Road.

This is certainly one to watch in the coming days.
