Leeds United want to sign Coventry City midfielder Gustavo Hamer
Leeds United are one of several clubs who are keen on signing Coventry City midfielder Gustavo Hamer this summer, according to Football League World.
The 24-year-old is primarily a defensive midfielder but the set-piece king still has six assists and two goals to his name in the Championship this season with the Sky Blues among those chasing a playoff place.
Football League World also claim that Scottish giants Rangers and Celtic are in the hunt to sign Hamer as are fellow Premier League sides Brentford and Norwich City.

The Coventry Telegraph reported that the Sky Blues have been trying to tie him down to a new deal but with just 18 months left on his current contract, they may be forced to cash in this summer.
Kalvin Phillips replacement?
This is maybe an early sign indicating that Jesse Marsch might be making moves in anticipation of exits from Elland Road in the next transfer window.

Hamer could be the man Marsch is after the fill the void left by Phillips, should he leave the club, and he will work hard to make it so.
The challenge of Rangers and Celtic will worry the American boss more given their European escapades and dominance north of the border whereas Brentford and Norwich are threatened with relegation, as are the Whites.
Hamer is a player who loves to snap into a tackle when you look at his 11 yellow cards this season which sounds like a player Marsch would have created in a lab if he could.
In other Leeds United news, James Maddison has made a startling admission ahead of the Whites’ trip to the King Power to play Leicester City on Saturday.
