Leeds United want to seal Palmeiras midfielder Danilo transfer swoop
Leeds United reportedly want to secure the services of Palmeiras midfielder Danilo in the January transfer window.
According to Calciomercato [10 July], the Brazilian can leave the club as early as January and is available for as little as £17.6million.
Barring Leeds, clubs like Arsenal, Newcastle and Aston Villa are among a host of Premier League sides keen on securing the services of the 21-year-old.
It’s going to be difficult for Leeds to secure the signing of the Brazilian given the growing interest in his services.
The clubs mentioned above are just three of many that are keeping tabs on him and will want to sign him in January.
At that age, the price he’s being made available at is not too much, given the inflated transfer market in 2023.
In a recent scouting report, that midfielder has been hailed for his work-rate and has been described as an “Aggressive” player.
He’s a defensive midfielder who’s proactive with his decision making and would be a good fit in this Leeds side after Mateusz Klich’s departure.
It would give Jesse Marsch two solid holding midfielders in Danilo and Tyler Adams to operate as a double pivot.
However, signing him ahead of Arsenal and Newcastle is going to be extremely difficult as both sides will possibly be able to offer him European football next season.
Apart from that, they would even give him higher wages than the Whites so it’s going to be a challenge for Victor Orta to convince him to move to Elland Road.
