Leeds United want Gustavo Hamer and Han-Noah Massengo in double transfer raid

Leeds United want to sign Han-Noah Massengo and Coventry City star Gustavo Hamer this summer, according to Phil Hay of The Athletic.

The latter starred in the Championship last season, where as Massengo left Bristol City after his contract expired and would require a compensation fee to sign up.

Leeds are plotting moves for both players despite the fact they want to keep Tyler Adams, with Darko Gyabi and Archie Gray also expecting to push through.

Daniel Farke has identified midfield as one area that needs strengthening, though, with Adam Forshaw yet to accept new terms and Marc Roca expected to move on.

That would see a real overhaul with Massengo and Hamer coming in, something that has been wanted for years now at Elland Road with the fans calling for change.

Wow.

These would be huge new signings.

Hamer set the Championship alight at Coventry last season, hitting double figures for both goals and assists, so imagine what he could do at Elland Road.

Massengo is more defensive and could form a partnership with Adams that allows Hamer to express himself in a more central attacking role, as we know Farke likes to play 4-2-3-1.

That could create a very strong midfield three all at a young age with Gyabi, Gray and potentially Forshaw as rotation options with youth being prioritised.

Leeds will likely need to allow the likes of Roca to leave first, though, with his wages off the table alongside the likes of Robin Koch, Diego Llorente and Brenden Aaronson certainly helping.

These linked names are an exciting start to procedures under Farke, let’s hope we can get them over the line.
