David Prutton predicts result of Leeds United v Middlesbrough for Sky Sports
David Prutton has predicted that Leeds United will continue their pursuit of automatic promotion to the Premier League by seeing off Middlesbrough this weekend.
The Whites recovered from a surprise draw at Rotherham United with a 3-1 comeback win against Swansea City at Elland Road on Wednesday (29 November).
Daniel Farke’s charges are back on home soil on Saturday (2 November) against a Middlesbrough side in high spirits after thumping Preston North End 4-0 last time out.

Predicting a 3-2 Leeds win in his Sky Sports column, Prutton said: “Leeds bounced back brilliantly to beat Swansea in midweek.
“Much needed after what happened at Rotherham in their previous game. They are looking up at the top two in menacing fashion.
“Middlesbrough took Preston apart on Tuesday night. They needed that after the frustration at Bristol City on Saturday. There will be goals here, but a home win.”
Up-and-down Boro
Leeds have won seven of their past nine matches, yet even that run still leaves them seven points adrift of second-placed Ipswich Town, while leaders Leicester City are eight points better off.
The Whites endured a blip when dropping points against Yorkshire rivals Rotherham, but they showed great character in hitting back in midweek – especially after falling behind so early on.

Middlesbrough have had a very strange season thus far, having recovered brilliantly from a terrible start, before registering some inconsistent results.
For example, Michael Carrick’s men have lost to Stoke City and Bristol City, drawn 3-3 with Plymouth Argyle and defeated Leicester and Preston in their last five games.
Basically, it is impossible to know what to expect at Elland Road from the opposition this weekend.
As long as Leeds turn up on the day, though, then it does not really matter. United at full strength trump Boro every day of the week.
In other Leeds United news, an “unthinkable” development at Elland Road is now possible after recent events.
