Leeds United video will leave fans absolutely buzzing

Leeds United have just posted a video documenting Patrick Bamford’s goals in each of the last 12 calendar months after a brilliant year for the Whites.

And it makes for brilliant watching for fans who will be absolutely buzzing for the striker after an incredible season.

The pandemic-ravaged season led to football commencing in June and July, and the English striker continued to fire goals for fun on resumption of the Championship season.

Once the Whites secured promotion and played in the Premier League, Bamford was at it again, scoring in Leeds’ very first game back in the top flight against Liverpool at Anfield.

Having previously been written off by a lot of fans, he showed that with hard work anything is possible.

Marcelo Bielsa also deserves credit for sticking with the Englishman. The Argentine urged the club to sign Rodrigo, but gave Bamford a chance to retain his place in the team which he accepted no questions asked.

Take a look at the video:

What a turnaround

Bamford looked like a player struggling and low on confidence last season, and it was the general assumption that he would play second fiddle to Rodrigo.

However, he’s someone who’s worked doubly as hard in training and is now in contention to make the England squad for the European Championships.

He’s polished his off-the-ball movement by looking at Erling Haaland’s videos and we can see it pay off looking at the goal he scored against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

Even Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has praised the player and was reportedly keen on bringing him to Anfield.

Speaking about Bamford in April, he said, per the Metro, “I can remember before the season I heard on talkSPORT that people said, ‘Leeds need a proper goalscorer, Bamford is not good enough’. I’m so happy that he could prove them wrong, he’s an exceptional player, perfect.”

Klopp is certainly spot on about him and while he may admire the player just like we do, he’s not going to sign him this summer.
