Leeds United ‘very happy’ with new signing after what he did against Wolves
Leeds United picked up their biggest result of the season so far as they defeated Wolves 3-1 at Molineux.
The result leaves Leeds on seven points after their opening five fixtures, with Wayne Rooney believing Leeds have a chance of staying up.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Anton Stach impressed Danny Murphy, who was analysing the game on Match of the Day.
However, it is another new signing that Leeds are reportedly “very happy” with after what he did against Wolves.

Leeds ‘very happy’ with Noah Okafor signing
Okafor also managed to score against Wolves, but it was Okafor’s dribbling in the game that caught the eye of onlookers.
With Largie Ramazani and Manor Solomon leaving the club over the summer, it was vital that Okafor hit the ground running, and Leeds supporters will be hoping his goal against Wolves has simply opened the floodgates for him.
According to reports from Fabrizio Romano on X, Leeds are said to be “very happy” with the investment they made on Okafor after the winger scored his first Premier League goal on Saturday.
- Okafor was clinical against Wolves, scoring his only shot of the game
- He was also extremely direct, attempting 14 dribbles and completing six of them
- Okafor was heavily involved in the game, having 40 touches in the 70 minutes he had on the pitch (Sofascore)
If Leeds want to stay up, they will need their new £18million man to deliver performances like this regularly.
Noah Okafor signing is a gamble for Leeds
Although the 49ers seem to be happy with the signing of Okafor, there is a great deal of risk attached to the deal for the Swiss winger.
Across his last two seasons in Serie A, Okafor has made a combined 11 starts for AC Milan and Napoli.
Injury issues have partly been to blame, but at Leeds, he will not have this issue as he is the main man and the only attacker that United have forked out a transfer fee for over the summer.
Okafor will undoubtedly receive the gametime he wants, but now it is up to him to rediscover the form he showcased at Red Bull Salzburg before his move to Italy.
