Leeds United v West Brom result predicted by supercomputer

Leeds United will be hopeful of maintaining their top form as they welcome West Brom to Elland Road on Saturday.

The Baggies are preparing to travel North on 1 March to face the Championship leaders, who beat Sheffield United last time out.

This victory was their third on the bounce and has helped to send the Whites five points clear at the top of the second tier with 12 games remaining.

Now a supercomputer has predicted if Daniel Farke’s side can secure a win against the Black Country outfit to maintain their run of positive results.

Leeds United backed to secure win v West Brom

Tony Mowbray has gone in at The Hawthorns and has had an up-and-down start with two wins and two losses in his last five outings.

This doesn’t mean that they will be an easy task for Leeds to play against given Albion’s desire to finish in the Championship playoff spots.

The West Midlands outfit sit fifth in the league table and will be keen to extend their gap to sixth while sitting 24 points behind the Whites.

As a result, it is little surprise that Farke and Co. have been predicted to run out as eventual winners at Elland Road against the Baggies.

The Opta supercomputer has given a sizable 62.7 per cent chance of securing yet another three points at home to make it 12 points from a possible 12.

As a result, Mowbray’s side are given a 17.5 per cent chance of securing a surprise win away in LS11, while a draw has been predicted with a 19.8 per cent likelihood.

Leeds United must secure win v West Brom

Farke and his side are so close to securing their place in back in the Premier League and can’t afford to let their form slip now.

The Whites have to learn from last season that a lapse in concentration can result in a drop in form and results and allow other sides to step in and take advantage.

The same thing happened with Ipswich Town last season and could be replicated by Burnley or Sunderland this campaign.

With that being said, a positive result against West Brom could prove to be yet another step in the right direction towards promotion.

The Baggies have frailties which can be exploited and as a result, the LS11 club will back themselves to secure a win, especially at home.
