Leeds United v Swansea: Crushing injury blow emerges before Elland Road clash
Leeds United are preparing to face Swansea City in the Championship on Saturday.
The Swans are set to make the journey to Elland Road on 29 March in a return to league action after the international break.
Daniel Farke will be keen to get back to winning ways after falling to a defeat and a 2-2 draw against QPR in his side’s last two outings.
Looking ahead to the clash in LS11, an injury blow has emerged which could have a telling impact on the result.

Swansea City dealt injury blow before Leeds United clash
The Welsh outfit have had a frustrating season for the most part but look set to avoid relegation as they sit 16th on 44 points.
By comparison, Leeds are fighting at the top of the division with the hope of earning a place in the Premier League by the end of the campaign.
As a result, three points against the Swans will be huge as they look to maintain their lead ahead of Sheffield United and Burnley.
Position | Team | Games played | Goal difference | Points |
1. | Leeds United | 38 | +51 | 80 |
2. | Sheffield United | 38 | +25 | 80 |
3. | Burnley | 38 | +41 | 78 |
This may prove to be easier after Alan Sheehan was dealt a huge blow ahead of the trip to Elland Road.
Speaking in his pre-match press conference on 27 March, he revealed: “Myles [Peart-Harris] is done for the season.”
The English head coach could also be without Harry Darling, who has been nursing a problem since the start of the month.
Sheehan added: “Harry Darling is back on the grass so we’ll have a look at him closer to the time. It’s not definite yet that he will be available, it’s not 100 per cent. We’ve got most of the group available.”
Leeds United must win v Swansea
The Whites have reached the point of the season where wins are needed and anything else isn’t good enough.
Despite going 2-0 down, this was the case against QPR as two points were dropped at Loftus Road ahead of the international break.
This sort of result hands Sheffield United and Burnley a life line which they can hold onto moving forward into the final eight games of the season.
With that being said, Leeds need to take advantage of any issues that Swansea might have to earn all three points at Elland Road.
Farke needs the likes of Joel Piroe, Manor Solomon and Dan James to step up to put the Swans to the sword and end any tensions in the second-tier run-in.
