Leeds United v Bristol City result predicted by supercomputer

Leeds United have already won promotion from the Championship, but still have two more games remaining this season.

Leeds fans will hope that their final two league games are their last in the Championship for a long time, but while their main objective has been achieved, the title is still on the line.

Daniel Farke has admitted that he is not too concerned over whether Leeds finish in first or second place now their goal has been achieved, with the Whites level on points with Burnley.

Leeds will face Bristol City in their final Championship match at Elland Road, before travelling to Plymouth Argyle on the final day of the season.

Leeds heavily backed to beat Bristol City

Bristol City are pushing for the play-off spots, while Leeds have already achieved their Championship goals, but despite a difference in motivation, the home side are still heavy favourites.

Opta’s supercomputer have given Leeds a 63 per cent chance of victory at Elland Road, making a home win the most likely result by far.

A draw has been backed at just 19.7 per cent, with the probability of Bristol City recording a vital win set at just 17.4 per cent.

Bristol City are currently fifth in the Championship, and are four points clear of Middlesbrough in seventh, meaning that if they better their result, they will reach the play-offs.

Leeds can win Championship title

Leeds are neck in neck with Burnley, and while it may not make much difference in the grand scheme of things, winning the Championship would send a statement that the Whites are the best team in the division.

Farke’s side have scored 89 goals, 25 more than the next best team, and they could reach 100 points with two wins from their final two games.

Therefore, facing Bristol City at Elland Road is a bigger game than previously anticipated despite already achieving promotion, and Leeds will hope to build up some momentum which they can take into next season.

These could also be Farke’s last two games in charge, with the 49ers reportedly considering replacing him as Leeds face the tough challenge of the Premier League.
