Leeds United urged to bring back ‘game-changer’ Luis Sinisterra v Arsenal

Luis Sinisterra had to sit out the previous Leeds United game against Crystal Palace through suspension but he is available to face Arsenal.

The current Premier League leaders travel to Elland Road on Sunday (16 October) with a slender one-point lead in the very early title race and a team in the form of their lives.

They managed to beat Liverpool on 9 October but Tony Dorigo wants Jesse Marsch to start Sinisterra against the Gunners to be Leeds’ game-changer.

“Luis Sinisterra needs to come straight back into the Leeds United side to face Arsenal on Sunday. That’s an easy decision,” Dorigo said to the Yorkshire Evening Post.

“Sinisterra is one of those players that is a game-changer, along with Brenden Aaronson. Having those two on the pitch, in our attacking three behind Patrick Bamford, is huge for us, so for me, Sinisterra coming back in will help give us our strongest XI.”

Who misses out?

For the first time in a long time, Marsch had a fully-fit attacking contingent to choose from and opted to play Patrick Bamford as the number nine ahead of Rodrigo after the early-season success they enjoyed.

Brenden Aaronson and Jack Harrison occupied the wide areas ahead of Tyler Adams and Marc Roca and it would have to be one of those six that makes way for Sinisterra to return to the starting lineup.

Bamford might seem the most likely having only just returned from injury but he made it through the game at Selhurst Park unscathed which might see Rodrigo drop to the bench so Aaronson can play as the 10.

A riskier strategy would be to drop either Adams or Roca and move Aaronson further back to utilise his immense engine in a box-to-box role.

That’s all without including the factor of Wilfried Gnonto who bagged his first goal for the club’s Under-21s against Sunderland on Monday evening (10 October) and has impressed at Thorp Arch already.
