Leeds United: ‘Unbelievable’ Ethan Ampadu verdict emerges on BBC
Helen Ward has raved about the “unbelievable” Leeds United star Ethan Ampadu after he made his 50th appearance for Wales in the 4-1 win against Finland.
The former Wales striker has predicted that Ampadu will go on to break several records for his country after making his first appearance at just 17 years old.
This has come shortly after Wales boss Rob Page insisted the Leeds ace could go on to captain his country and break the all-time appearance record held by Gareth Bale.
Speaking live on BBC Radio Wales [21 March, 20:25], Ward shared: “Ethan Ampadu has been unbelievable for Wales since his debut. With his 50th cap tonight at just 23, I’m sure he’ll break all sorts of records in the future.”
Ethan Ampadu has been a standout star for Leeds United
Since arriving at Elland Road in the summer, Ampadu has established himself as a standout under Daniel Farke, earning high praise for his consistently impressive performances both in midfield and alongside international teammate Joe Rodon at the back.
Eni Aluko was stunned by his performances for Leeds as she insisted they had got “unbelievable” value in bringing him in from Chelsea for just £7million, and the club themselves mirror this view as they believe they got a “really good deal“.
If he can continue putting in those performances as consistently as he has been at Elland Road, the midfielder will make himself a real fan favourite. That’s if he hasn’t done that already – he is always willing to put in a shift for the badge.

Given how loved he is playing for both Leeds and Wales, keeping up his performances and consistency he has shown both domestically and on the international stage, his reputation will only continue to grow and impress.
