Leeds United trio nearing return from injury ahead of Leicester City Premier League clash

Leeds United trio Leo Hjelde, Adam Forshaw and Archie Gray are all reportedly closing in on a return from injury ahead of the Leicester City clash.

According to LeedsLive journalist Beren Cross, they are not in contention to feature in the game on Thursday, but could be back soon.

Stuart Dallas still remains further down the line and the quartet are still not ready to return to senior football.

Promising signs

Leeds would do anything to avoid another injury crisis as it almost relegated them last season and saw Marcelo Bielsa parting ways with the club.

It’s good to see most players now nearing full fitness and no fresh injury concerns as Jesse Marsch is overseeing a poor run of results.

He desperately needs to get a few wins and steer further clear of the relegation zone as they do not want to be embroiled in another battle on the wrong side of the table again.

Their attackers have not been firing on all cylinders of late and that’s led to them struggling to win games despite creating better chances.

There was no reason for Leeds not to win the game against Arsenal but the likes of Patrick Bamford and Rodrigo did not do what was expected of them.

Hopefully, things change against Leicester and they secure their first win since August when they thumped Chelsea by a 3-0 scoreline.
