Leeds United trio jet out to Monte Carlo after 5-1 loss v Crystal Palace
Leeds United trio Weston McKennie, Junior Firpo and Luis Sinisterra have been spotted in Monte Carlo, with a photo of the three players emerging on Twitter.
It comes just days after the Whites were hammered at home to Crystal Palace, with the Eagles defeating Javi Gracia’s side 5-1 on Sunday (9 April).
The defeat leaves the Yorkshire outfit sitting 16th in the Premier League table, just two points above the relegation zone.

The three Leeds players, who all started against Palace, were photographed in Monte Carlo watching tennis legend Novak Djokovic play in the Monte Carlo Masters.
“McKennie, Firpo and Sini in Monte Carlo watching Djokovic,” Conor McGilligan posted on Twitter, along with a screenshot from Amazon Prime’s coverage of the tennis.
Poor timing
Footballers will know that they are never too far away from the spotlight given their profession, with the Leeds trio perhaps set to be unsurprised at being snapped seemingly enjoying some downtime.
If indeed they were out enjoying the tennis, it will not go down well with many Leeds fans, the majority of which will still be angry with their players after the 5-1 humiliation against Palace.
And while everyone needs time to relax, their decision to supposedly jet off to Monte Carlo immediately after that shock defeat will be questioned fiercely.
The timing is definitely the biggest issue here, particularly given that other teams in the relegation zone were more than likely working hard on the training ground at the time of the photo being taken.
There could, of course, be the other side of the coin, in which some fans may suggest that a break from football is just what these players need to clear their heads and prepare themselves for the huge battle ahead.
But that opinion will definitely be a minority one, with most fans certain to be outraged at this latest development.
In other Leeds United news, Tottenham Hotspur reportedly have the “strongest interest” among Chelsea and Barcelona to sign goalkeeper Illan Meslier.
