Leeds United trio could make history as 48-year hoodoo ready to be broken
Leeds United may not be in action this week, but several of their Premier League stars will be.
Leeds are already on course for Premier League survival, having picked up eight points from their first seven games this season, though this week sees a whole host of their players away on international duty.
Jaka Bijol will be expected to feature for Slovenia, while the likes of Ao Tanaka and Gabriel Gudmundsson will also be representing their respective countries.
Nine Leeds stars will be in action over the October break, and three in particular could achieve something special on Thursday night.

Wales looking to beat England at Wembley for first time since 1977
Leeds United have to wait a bit longer to return to Premier League action, but England do not, and on Wednesday night, they welcome Wales to Wembley, with several familiar faces likely to play a part.
Karl Darlow, who has stepped in for the injured Lucas Perri, is likely to start for his country, with Ethan Ampadu and Joe Rodon almost nailed on to be named in the starting 11.
Wales’ record against the Three Lions is pretty wretched, with just 14 wins dating all the way back to 1849, with 104 total encounters.
Their most recent win arrived in 1984, but their last win on the Wembley turf was back in 1977, when Mark Hughes scored the winner in a 1-0 victory.

With all three Leeds stars likely to play a significant role in the clash, they could make history for Wales, with Daniel Farke looking to have them return to Elland Road in good form.
Dan James will miss out on chance to make history with Wales
Aside from the aforementioned trio, Dan James is also a nailed-on starter for Wales whenever he is fit.
However, after James suffered an ankle injury in training with Leeds, he will miss Thursday night’s clash at Wembley.
Fortunately for Leeds, the Welshman isn’t anticipated to be out for too long, with Craig Bellamy previously stating that he could return within a matter of weeks.
Brenden Aaronson has taken James’ spot at Leeds, who will be eager to earn his place in the starting 11 when he returns to fitness.
