Leeds United transfer update emerges today with work ongoing at Elland Road

Leeds United are expected to have another quiet day in terms of incomings at Elland Road on Tuesday 30 January, according to Graham Smyth.

The Yorkshire Evening Post journalist has reported that work is ongoing, but no new signings are imminent, with another exit expected to happen.

Leo Hjelde is set to finalise his move to Sunderland permanently, with a bid accepted by Leeds on Monday as they enter the final hours of the window.

Writing on X, he said: “Expecting Hjelde to happen today.

“Work ongoing but nothing imminent just yet in terms of incoming business. Likely to be another quiet day on that front.”

Quiet.

Hopefully, this quietness can lead to one or two new faces, otherwise, this entire month has been nothing short of a disaster for Leeds and Daniel Farke.

The 49ers Enterprises work quietly behind the scenes, we know that, so there is hope that they are getting things in line for new signings before the February 1 deadline.

Luke Ayling, Djed Spence, Hjelde and Lewis Bate are some of the names to have left Elland Road this month with no signs of incomings on top of them.

Fans are starting to get restless in and around LS11, and that is understandable, but you have to trust the process and the work that is going on right now to get things done.

The likes of Ben Godfrey at Everton continue to be mentioned and it may be that Farke wants a reunion with him, but the negotiations will take longer, we have to have patience right now.

Fingers crossed something gets done soon.
