Leeds United transfer update: Agreement reached over Diego Llorente exit
An agreement in principle has reportedly been reached with Diego Llorente set to leave Leeds United this summer transfer window.
Italian media outlet Romagiallorossa.it claimed late at night on June 22 that the Spain international will be heading to Roma in the “next few hours”.
Thus far, no announcement has been made but it appears to be another loan move with an option to buy at the end of it.

Need a permanent sale
Leeds surely cannot be daft enough to accept another loan and an option to buy as it will be the same thing 12 months from now.
Roma will not agree to buy at the pre-determined price and there will be negotiations once again which is something the Whites will not want.
His deal runs out until 2026 so there’s plenty of time to push this as far as possible without paying a transfer fee for his services.

Leeds need to get him off their books for good and even if it’s a lower transfer fee, they need to accept it and move on with this saga.
Llorente has been given plenty of chances to prove his worth at Leeds and has not taken his opportunities at Elland Road.
His sale will benefit Leeds as they’ll get a decent transfer fee and could perhaps sign a new centre-back who’ll be among the best in the Championship.
In other Leeds United, a BT Sport pundit has delivered an “Incredible” verdict as a frontrunner has emerged for the Elland Road hot seat.
